March: Protecting Your Online Footprint
Suggested for grades 6-12 WITH parents and caregivers
Teens will learn about the importance of making healthy choices both online and with cell phones. Online risks and dangers will be discussed so youth are aware of behavior that should trigger warning flags. Risky behaviors, including sexting and cyberbullying, will also be covered. The presentation also talks about positive ways that the Internet can be used to advocate for each other. This training is designed to help jumpstart conversations at home about using technology in a positive way while giving families tools to make healthy decisions online.

How do I talk to children about personal safety without scaring them to death? This presentation provides current information about various safety concerns children and teens are facing today, both in-person and online, and how to educate youth on those concerns in a positive way.
