In this 30 minute, age appropriate conversation, kids will learn about personal safety. Topics covered are: the buddy system, checking first, secrets vs. surprises, 5 trusted adults and how to spot a tricky person. Never fear based, this material is covered in a fun and interactive way that EMPOWERS kids.

Growing up SAFE
For grades 4-7
 
In this 45 minute presentation, kids will learn about trusting their gut instinct, boundaries, personal body safety, basic internet safety and peer pressure. Non-fear based, fun and interactive designed to empower kids and prepare them to make healthy decisions in the future.

Teen SMARTZ
For grades 7-12
 
In this 45 minute presentation, teens will learn about the dangers of sexting and cyber-bullying. They will also learn about what is safe to post on line; including on social networking sites like facebook, MySpace and internet chat rooms. Designed to empower young adults and give them the tools to make healthy decisions as they gain independence.
 
For a more in depth cyber-bullying presentation, consider showing the film, “Sticks & Stones” followed by Teen SMARTZ workshop. For this option, please allow 1.5 hours.

Internet and Cell Safety 101
 
A 45 minute presentation designed for parents and caregivers of kids ages 11 and up. Do you want to learn more about social networking sites, cyber-bullying, gaming, sexting and internet predators? This workshop is designed to help bridge the gap many parents feel when talking to their teens about technology. You will learn the basics of social networking, including what is safe to post on-line. Learn about cyber-bullying, sexting and how to talk to your teen about internet safety. Filtering software and safety rules will also be discussed. Make sure your teen is educated and empowered to make healthy choices on-line!
 
 
Talk Safety to Me!
 
A 45 minute presentation for parents or caregivers (ages K-5) that answers the question, “How do I talk to my kids about personal safety?” Includes questions every parent should ask before choosing an afterschool program, activity or overnight visit at friend’s house. If you have wondered about how you can effectively teach your children how to recognize a dangerous situation without scaring them, this presentation is for you!
