Coloring Sheets

Here are some activity pages that your family can use to reinforce safety messages that you cover during your Family Safety Night. We have found it can be far less intimidating for parents to have a conversation about personal safety while doing an activity. As your children use the coloring sheets, sit down with them and have a conversation about safety. We have some prompts by each sheet to help you get started.

I Am Special	What are some of the things that make you different from everyone else?   Part of being special is knowing that you have a right to grow up safe and strong  What would you do if someone was making you feel unsafe?   This is a wonderful time to reinforce the message that there isn't anything your child could do that would make you stop loving them.
Five Trusted Adults	What if you were having a problem and I wasn't around to help? Who are your five grown-ups you would talk to if you had a problem? What kinds of problems are the hardest for you to talk about?
Check First	Have you ever forgotten to check first before going somewhere? What happened? Why it is important for the person taking care of you to know where you are going? What if the person offering to give you a ride is someone you know?  Should you still remember to check first?
Buddy System	Who are some of your favorite buddies? Why is it important to stick together? What if one of your buddies wanted to go somewhere without Checking First?
